Michael J. Weber is the author of
several books and screenplays. He wrote
“INVASION OF
PRIVACY” (Muska
& Lipma - 2004) — an expose into hacking,
government intrusion, identity theft, and data mining.
He also wrote “CONFESSIONS OF AN
INTERNET AUCTION JUNKIE” (Prima/Random House - 2000) — the
original bible on Internet auctions and eBay. Both
books were translated into several languages and have
been incorporated into scholastic curriculums. Weber
also developed companion CD-ROMs and websites for the
publishers.
Weber was employed by Columbia Pictures to develop a
movie on the life of Timothy Leary. He also developed a
biopic for MGM on the life of Lena Horn. Several of his
original screenplays have been optioned and developed
by major producers.
Weber’s career began on Madison Avenue. He worked in
production companies and ad agencies and produced over
four hundred television commercials for Fortune 500
sponsors like Coke, McDonald's, Budweiser, and P&G.
He is the recipient of five Clio Awards.
Weber graduated from the School of Visual Arts in New
York City where he studied painting and fine
arts.
